Workshops
Get everyone on the same page
Our hands-on workshops show how housing, zoning, financing, and development work together. Local leaders, developers, and community partners use local data, household profiles, and tabletop exercises to understand housing needs, work through real challenges, and see how income, development costs, and zoning shape what gets built.
Turning Data into Real People
In a workshop hosted by Cornerstone Alliance, participants worked with realistic local household profiles that included income, budget, and housing needs. They compared what those households could afford with what local zoning allowed developers to build.
The exercise made the mismatch clear: the homes people needed and could afford were often not the homes the market was set up to produce.Emerging Developer Program
Grow Local Developers
We help emerging developers build the skills and confidence to take projects from idea to implementation. Our program combine practical training, mentorship, and connections to the people who can help move a project forward.
From learning to pitching a real project
We worked with the Urban League of West MI and Cassandra Oracz to create a 10-week program for emerging developers. Participants learned how development works, received one-on-one mentorship, and built a project pitch to present to local lending institutions.Level Up
